The next release is in the digital house. The responsible party here is a new celestial body, springing from the Polish heavens. Mooryc is the project from Maurycy Zimmerman from Poznan? He has already done his thing on the debut album from Douglass Greed with one of the most snappy songs featuring his voice and crackly refinements. Cohort Greed returns the favor with a remix for Moorycs first stroke in the Freude am Tanzen catalog. The music that belongs to the label is a difficult undertaking. Spices and ingredients crisscross a field between electronica, ambient, dub step, pop and an intimate techno coziness. The special feature from Mooryc: this voice opens the doors to your heart when you hear it. All of his songs create an intimacy that demands outsized gestures without taking the arrangements into a feeling overkill. Mooryc stays in the cellar, with the door always just a sliver open.

Hemmann is a rascal. Snaps the vocals in the front and strips it of a few octaves. The rest is an astounding connection between Mareks signature and Moorycs deepness: born from 'Marimoory' or what?!

Is it really so bad, when techno-pop plays on the radio? Man oh man that was something in the 80's when you had to tape-record the New Romantics on cassette. Mooryc is like that, but in the here and now.
